the last 3 weeks of life

Hey friends and family,

So, a LOT has gone on in the last three weeks!

I packed up, said some tearful goodbyes, and took a one way road trip with a dear friend. (Man am I EVER thankful I had that dear friend with me for that trip!).

Now, I am all unpacked and settled living with my awesome mom, (hi mom!).

It has been a big, but welcomed, adjustment. I miss everyone TONS! Seriously... so much. But thanks to weddings, I will see everyone in not too long.

I have spent my first three weeks just settling in and job hunting. I had a few interviews, now I am working at an Italian restaurant called La Pisana. It's kinda a fancy "Italian Eatery & Wine Bar", for now. I am working there partish time. However, come May 19th, La Pisana will be no more, and they will be closed for a week for renovations and we will reopen as "Smokehouse BBQ". I am a little uncertain about this transition... but we will see. I will let you know how that goes. As Smokehouse BBQ they also run a little food shack at a industrial worksite in Nisku over the lunch hour, so I've done that a couple times. They will also be running a couple food trucks at events and stuff all over the city, like folk fest and taste of edmonton and such. So there will be opportunity to work those too. Again, we will see how it goes.

I have also found a pretty good church that Mom and I have been attending, so that is awesome. I look forward to plugging in more. So far we have been going to a sunday school bible study before the second service, as well as I go to young adults bible study in the evening.

I have met some pretty awesome friends! I have 2 coffee dates and a photography outing with a couple girls who also love to take pictures. So... I am pretty excited about finally having friends!

I am SUPER stoked about the upcoming entrance of my nephew into the world this Thursday. Thursday can not come soon enough! AND that also means... not only that I get to meet him, I get to hang out with my 2 year old nephew since we are babysitting for a bit for them. Can't get enough cuteness. Have I mentioned I love my nephews and niece??? (I also got to witness my nieces first steps!!!!! so exciting.)

Alright... I think this post is long enough!  If you have any questions feel free to ask!!

Miss you ALL!!!!!!
