Latin... for 'With a strong Hand'. Manu Forti... to fight for the things that are important. In a world so full of devastation... seeing glimpses of people fighting for, and persevering for justice, truth and beauty bring these words to light.
Good friends and mentors of mine have been fighting to adopt a little girl from Haiti. For nearly 3 years. It has been a crazy journey for them, and incredibly difficult since the earthquake hit. But...God, through it all, is bringing Jayna to their arms earlier, as in today, because of the earthquake. They have never ever given up during this journey, and have constantly fought for their little girl, constantly praying and allowing God to do what He does best.
This to me is a moment that I think about when I am reminded by this phrase... 'Manu Forti'... (Which I often am... as it is tattooed on my back)...
An encouragement to fight when things don't feel all peachy.
To fight for the things that are important.
Truth.
Beauty.
Justice.
Family.
Intimacy.
Relationships.
Life.
Hope.
Love.
Because this is what God has called us to.
