Birds of prey.

Have you ever watched a hawk, or an eagle? Its eyes fixed on its prize, gliding gently in circles with gentle fervour, lower, and lower and lower. Till finally... it dives intensely toward its claimed prey.

Today.

That was me. In the parking lot.

If I could put life in a perfume bottle...

I have an amazing roomie. Seriously, the best. We laugh until we cry ALL THE TIME. We vent to each other. We eat together. We pray together. We read the bible together. We talk to each other on facebook.... when we're on the same couch. We make tea together.

Sometimes. I pick a song tune and she sings the tune and puts words to it. And we laugh some more.

Today, while taking a deep breath of composure after laughing hard, she said this.

"I wish I could put our life in perfume bottle." Then we could let other people smell and they would understand how wonderful our friendship is.

We have conversation like this.
Lanah: What does palindrome mean?
Cheryl: *pulls out dictionary widget* spell it.
Lanah: P. A. L. I. N. D. R. O. M. E.
Cheryl: A word, phrase, or sequence that reads the same forwards as backwards.
Lanah: Oh.
Pause.
Lanah: Well... what does palindrome spell backwards?... emordnilap?..... OOHH...
